Guide
Assign permission sets
Give admins, managers, and everyone else the access Sojourn needs.
Sojourn ships three permission sets. Give each person the one that matches what they do.
| Permission set | Give it to | What it allows |
|---|---|---|
| Sojourn Admin | Admins who configure tracking | Create, edit, and delete all Sojourn records, including Tracked objects, Tracked fields, Goals, and queue business hours. Includes the Sojourn Admin custom permission. |
| Sojourn Manager | People who report on intervals | Read all intervals and interval summaries, and read Goals and tracking configuration. |
| Sojourn User | Everyone who should see intervals | Read intervals, Goals, and Tracked objects. |
The objects and rights each one grants are listed in Reference: Permission sets.
Assign in Setup#
- In Setup, open Permission Sets.
- Select the permission set, then Manage Assignments, then Add Assignment.
- Choose the users and select Assign.
Assign with the Salesforce CLI#
Often missed. Reports join intervals to Cases, Leads, and Opportunities. A manager also needs read access to those records to see them in a joined report.
You are done when
- Each person has exactly one Sojourn permission set.
- An admin sees the Tracked Objects tab; a manager sees Intervals and Interval Summaries.
