Uninstall Sojourn

Turn off the jobs, keep what you need, and uninstall the packages.

Salesforce admin About 15 minutes Since release 1

Uninstalling deletes every Sojourn object and its records: Intervals, summaries, Tracked objects, goals, the Error Log, and the archive. It also deletes the permission sets, reports, and dashboards that came with the package. Records outside Sojourn, such as your Cases, are not changed. The CSV files that purge saved are Salesforce Files owned by the admin who ran purge; they stay after the uninstall.

Before you uninstall#

  1. In Sojourn Settings, open Jobs under Operations and Turn off each job: Live values, Reconcile, and Summaries.
  2. Wait for any Backfill, Catch up, or purge that is running to finish; the Health Monitor shows them.
  3. To keep the configuration, export it from Export settings; see Move settings between orgs.
  4. Remove the Sojourn permission sets from every user: in Setup, open Permission Sets, then each Sojourn set, then Manage Assignments. Salesforce refuses the uninstall while one is assigned.
  5. Remove anything you built on Sojourn's objects outside the package, such as your own reports, Flows, or fields on the Interval object. Salesforce refuses an uninstall while another component refers to a package component.

Uninstall#

  1. If Sojourn Omni-Channel is installed, uninstall it first.
  2. In Setup, open Installed Packages, choose Uninstall next to Sojourn, and confirm.
  3. To keep the data, choose to save a copy of the package's data before it is deleted. Salesforce emails a link when the uninstall finishes; the export files are deleted two days after that.

You are done when

  • Installed Packages no longer lists Sojourn.
  • Scheduled Jobs in Setup lists no Sojourn job.
