Guide
Check the prerequisites
The Salesforce edition, features, and permissions Sojourn needs before you install it.
Edition and features#
- Salesforce Enterprise, Unlimited, Performance, or Developer Edition, in Lightning Experience.
- Professional Edition is not supported yet: Salesforce runs packaged Apex in Professional Edition only after a package passes its security review.
- What Sojourn leaves out on purpose, and the limits we know of, are in Scope and limits.
- Business hours defined in Setup, under Business Hours. Sojourn uses the org default unless you set others.
- For History backfill (Plus plan): Field History Tracking turned on for the fields you track, before the history you want to keep was written.
- For Omni-Channel agent work (Plus plan): Omni-Channel turned on, and the Sojourn Omni-Channel package installed after Sojourn.
- For the timeline on a site: an Experience Cloud site with authenticated members. Guest users cannot see it.
People and permissions#
- The person who installs needs the System Administrator profile, or the Download AppExchange Packages permission.
- Admins who set Sojourn up need the Sojourn Admin permission set, and Customize Application to change the overview settings. See Assign permission sets.
Storage#
Each Interval is a record of about 2 KB in your data storage. When you pick Tracked fields, the object's screen estimates how many rows a month they add and what share of your storage that is a year. On the Plus plan, purge keeps storage in check on large orgs; see Keep or purge Intervals.
You are done when
- Your org's edition is in the list above.
- Setup lists at least one active business hours.
